Association for Developing Voluntary Work Novo Mesto, Slovenia
Established in 1993, the Association for Developing Voluntary Work Novo Mesto (DRPDNM) is the leading non-governmental and humanitarian organization in South-East Slovenia, operating in the public interest within the fields of social welfare, culture, and youth.
DRPDNM is a dynamic organization with over 30 experts specializing in social work, education, and project management. Their mission is realized through three key pillars:
1. Social Integration: Providing comprehensive support for migrants and refugees through language courses, female empowerment programs, and labor market integration.
2. Youth Support: Operating day centers that offer a safe environment, academic assistance, and leisure activities for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and Roma communities.
3. Intercultural Dialogue: Promoting tolerance through the annual “Festival of Cultures” and a specialized team of cultural mediators. As an experienced coordinator, the association actively develops innovative solutions through Erasmus+, ESC, and Horizon Europe programs.
The association serves a wide range of beneficiaries, including migrants, refugees, and Roma communities. Their programs specifically target children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, women from diverse cultural backgrounds seeking empowerment, and the broader local community through cultural and volunteer initiatives.
