About the SustiBridge project

SustiBridge is a 24-month international project that promotes the active involvement of citizens in co-creating inclusive and ustainable green policies for the European Union. The project is founded on the values of the CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) programme and supports the objectives of the European Green Deal, focusing on democratic participation, equality, and environmental justice.

The main objective is to connect different generations and communities, enabling them to participate actively in shaping solutions to climate and environmental challenges. Particular emphasis is placed on including young people, older people, migrants, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups who are often underrepresented in decision-making processes.

SustiBridge combines digital platforms, participatory workshops, artistic approaches, and public forums to create space for dialogue between citizens and policymakers. The project introduces innovative mechanisms such as real-time citizen feedback, gamified green challenges, and co-creation labs for local sustainable solutions.

The project is being implemented in eight countries (Slovenia, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, and Belgium) and is building a sustainable European network for civic and environmental engagement. Key outcomes will include citizen recommendations for EU policies, local green rights charters, and open-access tools to strengthen participation.

In the long term, SustiBridge aims to contribute to a just green transition, strengthen intergenerational solidarity, and consolidate a culture of active and inclusive European citizenship.
